Say What You Mean: Mindful Communication Resources

We spend a huge portion of our lives communicating. When we are not actively engaging with others, we’re either reading, writing, listening to media, or carrying a conversation in our heads. The quality of our conversations determines to a large degree the quality of our relationships and through that, the quality of our lives.

Yet how much training do we each have in this most essential life skill? The answer is: decades. Communication is a learned, cultural phenomenon. We each have many, many years of training from our family, school, culture and society. The problem is that most of this training is unconscious and unintentional. This leaves us ill-prepared for some of the most important aspects of our life personally and professionally.

The resources below are intended to supplement your learning and practice as you read Say What You Mean. We invite you to explore them at your own pace. If you would like to join a community of others practicing these tools, we invite you to check out one of Oren’s upcoming online events.
