Fundraiser Supporting Buddhist Insights New Jersey Retreat Center
New Jersey, New York, and Philly persons will finally be able to stay in your home state or hop on one train from NYC or Philly for retreats, workshops, classes, weekly meditation groups and special events! Buddhist Insights (www.buddhistinsights.com) is committed to move to or near Newark, New Jersey (This compassionate non-profit organization currently hosts these offerings at Rockaway Summer House in Queens and throughout NYC).
Join me at the special teaching: Finding Balance in Difficult Times. We will support Buddhist Insights' opening of this Retreat Center where persons of all races, ethnicities, genders, religions and ages will be welcome.
This fundraiser includes guided meditation, lecture, Q&A and a book signing of my new book, Say What You Mean: A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication. You will learn how we can find balance with difficult emotions, understand how we get reactive (and what helps us to let go), and gain perspective when challenges overwhelm.

About the Book
Say What You Mean: A Mindful Approach to Nonviolent Communication is a step-by-step guide for meaningful conversations that bring people together. It is the first book to integrate mindfulness with the modern discipline of Nonviolent Communication and somatic healing.
Whether it's managing conflict at work, navigating a political divide with a relative, or strengthening bonds at home—communicating effectively is what makes or breaks our relationships. Rich with simple yet powerful exercises, Say What You Mean offers a clear method and concrete practices for healthier, more effective conversation.
