Transformation Through Dialogue: Building Resilient Foundations

  • Garrison Institute Online (map)

Note: Event begins at 9:00am PT / 12:00pm ET

As human beings, our natural diversity is one of our gifts. However, not knowing how to handle interpersonal challenges around difference can lead to disconnection, or, worse, create harm and suffering in our relationships. How can we build a stable and resilient inner foundation to navigate our inevitable disagreements with others? How can we develop our skills in communication, build a broader toolkit, and become more effective and compassionate?

Join authors Kim Loh and Oren Jay Sofer to explore the potential of dialogue to transform us by understanding communication as a vehicle for our spiritual practice. This creative daylong workshop integrates contemplative practice, embodied approaches and practical guidance to help you develop more confidence, insight and flexibility in your approach to conversations and relationships. Our program will include a blend of silent meditation, guided reflections, interactive exercises, and experiments in conversation.

The workshop is appropriate for therapists, educators, coaches, facilitators and other helping professionals, as well as those working for social change or interested in improving their relationships and communication skills in general. All are welcome, no prior experience necessary. This event is sponsored by Garrison Institute.

Cost: Sliding Scale of $175, $130, $50

Scholarship opportunity: We are able to offer a limited number of scholarships for those with financial need who are unable to register at our subsidized rate. To apply, please click here.
