Transforming Anxiety: Daylong Retreat

  • Sacramento Dharma Center & Mt. Stream Online event (map)

Sacramento Buddhist Meditation Group & Mountain Stream Sangha

Topic: Transforming Anxiety
Times: 10am – 4pm PT / 1pm - 7pm ET
Cost: $30-$150 Sliding Scale (no one turned away for lack of funds)

As we face multiple crises on local, national, and global levels, anxiety is natural. It’s a nervous system response to uncertainty and threat. When properly handles, anxiety can help us to respond effectively. But when the stimulus becomes internal (emotional or psychological) and anxiety becomes chronic, it interferes with our ability to respond to the situation at hand or even to feel joy in life.

Join Oren for this daylong retreat and learn a range of contemplative tools to transform anxiety and respond to challenges with more clarity, courage and confidence. This program will explore perspectives to understand anxiety; tools to soothe anxiety in body and mind; guidance to develop healthier habits of relating to fear and worry; and support to translate anxiety into empowered action.

The day will include a combination of guided meditations, lecture, movement, small group discussion, and Q&A. All are welcome; no prior experience is necessary. Space is limited; please register early.

AUDIO recordings of the day will be available within one week after the event for those registered.
